        Abstract
        Aujourd'hui je voudrais réfléchir avec vous sur la contribution des technologies de l'information et de la communication, les TICs, au développement du tiers monde. Bien entendu, il y aurait beaucoup à dire sur le rôle des TICs dans le développement de nos pays industrialisés en général et leur contribution à la transformation de l'enseignement universitaire en particulier. C'est le sujet de mon livre Mega-universities and Knowledge Media : Technology Strategies for Higher Education.// Mais aujourd'hui je parlerai plutôt du tiers monde car dans ces pays 'en voie de développement' (comme nous disons si facilement même si ce n'est pas toujours vrai) le rôle de la technologie est encore plus important que dans nos pays occidentaux.
