INVEST Africa Evaluation Report

Date
2015-03Abstract
This document is both a monitoring report of the activities of the Innovation in Vocational Education and Skills Training (INVEST Africa) Programme of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL)'s Technical and Vocational Skills Development (TVSD) Initiative over the six months ending 31 December 2014 and a summative evaluation report of its activities, outputs and outcomes from 2012 to 2015.
Since 2010, COL has been involved with establishing the INVEST Africa capacity building model which is premised on the recognition that flexible and blended (FaB) learning and teaching approaches can impact positively on the goals of TVET institutions to expand access to quality vocational education and skills development, especially for informal sector skills training; and that it can support the inclusion of girls and women and promote gender equity.
